Honest mechanics, better prices than dealership!

Marlin did a great job of diagnosing our car's problem when the motor shut off and we had to have it towed to his auto centre. His accurate diagnosis - a rock through the rad which damaged the engine - enabled us to claim repairs on our insurance, saving us thousands of dollars. Thank you, Marlin!

We have had our cars serviced by Marlin's over the past ten years. Marlin and his staff do a very good job maintaining our vehicles. They are honest and perform their services for reasonable prices. They are friendly, prompt and will not try to fix things that don't need fixing. This is car maintenance and repair at its best! I strongly recommend that you consider them when choosing a local auto mechanic.

Marlin is a nice guy, and very helpful. As far as the mechanical work done, it seems for me it has been hit and miss. I got a catalytic converter replaced, but the exhaust system apparently was not checked as part of the job, so there were pieces of the old converter that got into the muffler that plugged it up, and the engine consequently was overheating, unlike before. This led to other big costly problems. Then, I paid for diagnostics, which amounted to the mechanic's theory, not testing, and I replaced the recommended part, but it was wrong--wasted money. Some bad mistakes, but at other times, did really excellent work.

Marlin & Doug & their staff have been servicing our vehicles for over 20 years. Marlin and his crew are outstanding mechanics & we trust them completely. No doubt about it, Marlin's Auto Service is the best auto repair shop in Whatcom County!

I will never again take my car anywhere else but Marlin's!! I was told I needed a new power steering belt by another "mechanic shop" and when I asked Marlin's to replace it, it turns out the one I had was in perfect condition! They could have easily replaced it and charged me for it and I would have never known the difference. But, they DIDN'T!! I know I can always trust these guys and that's important.

I've used Marlins since I moved out to the mid county area and they are prompt and friendly. The work I've needed has been done just right!

Great service as always. Thank you for keeping our high mileage car running and on the road!

While changing the oil, the mechanic found the the alternator was going out on our vehicle. We were due go on vacation the next day and the staff got the part delivered and we were back on the road in time to leave as planned for our vacation.

Car was clean, was repaired as requested and love the new oil change punch card.
